ABOUT US

We first met and became friends in secondary school in rural Ireland, sharing a love of music (specifically Elvis and The Beatles). From there we went our their separate ways to train as actors (Kevin back home in Scotland) and (Brendan in Oxford, via a degree in Journalism in Dublin) before reuniting in London where we began writing together.

OUR WORK

Image1.jpg

Our work draws from our shared Gaelic heritage and from our experience in the acting industry. We tend towards comedy-drama, sometimes with a sci-fi twist.

Individually we have a number of writing credits across TV, short films and radio plays. In 2018 we started writing together working on our first feature film script - Kallibeg - and have since written a number of TV scripts across various genres.

During lockdown in 2020 (along with Kevin’s brother Ross Mains as director) we co-wrote Star Force: Sci-Fisolation - a web series which featured a bizarrely star studded cast including: James McAvoy, Caitriona Balfe, Kit Harington and Florence Pugh.

STAR FORCE

WEB SERIES

Star Force: Sci-Fisolation is - to quote James McAvoy: “A spomage… spoof homage” to all things sci-fi. Created during lockdown and spanning four action packed episodes, Star Force follows the adventures of Captain (James McAvoy) and his rag tag crew as they race across the galaxy in search of his arch nemesis Dr. Flurgzool (Kit Harington).

Shot from the safety of the cast’s homes, Star Force relied on the use of increasingly silly household props to create the colourful world of the Galaxia Quandrant along with a healthy dose of fun from our star studded cast, which included: Caitríona Balfe, Kit Harington and Florence Pugh

Praise for Star Force:

“Star Force: the surprise smash webseries is the Mighty Boosh for Trekkies” - The Guardian

“That was amazing” - Kelly Clarkson

“This is simply the best thing ever” - Simon Kinberg

“That was joyously fun” - Kit Harington

“Oh… joy…” -William Shatner
